Clarion Tastes Gold at the CIPR Pride Awards Scotland

Clarion Communications saw its Scotland team take home Gold at the CIPR Pride Awards Scotland for its #VoteWallace campaign with Edinburgh Dungeon.

Briefed with driving awareness of the world-class tourist attraction’s seasonal summer show, ‘Braveheart’s Revenge’, Clarion devised a clever, integrated PR and marketing campaign to decide once and for all just who exactly is the greatest ever Scot.

To bring the campaign to life, Clarion undertook an extensive media relations campaign, which saw a horse trot through Glasgow city centre, a rally down the Royal Mile, and a host of other immersive activities that got the people of Scotland talking.

The campaign was voted by the judges to be the Best Travel, Leisure or Tourism Campaign of the Year, as well as taking home Silver in the Best Use of Media Relations and Low Budget Campaign categories.

The campaign had previously been honoured at the PRCA Dare Awards Scotland, winning the Best Event, Launch or Stunt of the Year in June.

The campaign was led by Lynne Hughes, who leads Clarion’s Scotland team.
