Over 11,000 Vie to be Crowned Aldi’s Best Home Bar

To celebrate the rise of the nation’s at-home bars, with many springing up during lockdown, Clarion worked with Aldi to launch a nationwide search for the most innovative and creative at-home pubs as a way to promote the supermarket’s beers wine and spirits online delivery service.

One lucky winner could win a supply of shopping vouchers to help stock their shelves for a year, and when we announced the start of the search, it secured widespread coverage including Express.co.uk, Metro.co.uk, Prima.co.uk and the Daily Mail’s You.co.uk.

In just 2 weeks the competition attracted an incredible 11,000 entries, and the winners of the coveted best boozer title were a couple from Leicester who transformed their garage into a classic traditional pub. BBC Leicester took a visit to the converted garage to meet the winners, while the campaign delivered 35 pieces of media coverage with a reach of over 5.6million and a social reach of 2.2million.
